Spring & pipeline to storage tank destroyed by earthquake
in 2009
- New spring has been encapsulated as a 4 tiered reinforced
concrete terraced structure that will be much less subject to
earthquake damage than its predecessor
- 8500 linear feet of piping going from spring to the storage
tank just outside of village was installed manually, 1 meter
deep.
- All labor was provided by the villagers with no monetary
compensation
